OUR HISTORY



Established in 1994, in a rural area by open-minded coffee enthusiasts. Started by Tom Shook whose love for coffee roasting started in college in 1968 with a small group of coffee lovers that would buy bags of beans to split with each other. Eventually leading to opening his own roasting shop.

After Tom's passing the roasting has been continued by his partner Brad Knaub and new partners Amber Buckingham, Dave Taylor, Zach Buckingham, and Kelsey Ribbeck.
We are currently renovating the once-named Grubstake Saloon to make room for a new coffee shop! There is a lot of work yet to be done, so an opening date is to be determined. You can find renovation updates and info on where we're currently selling hot coffee here:
